The Archaeological Museum of Pythagorio has been welcoming visitors since 2010.

Housed in a modern building at the heart of Pythagorio, was once the site of ancient Samos, the museum showcases the region’s rich archaeological heritage.

Exhibits include finds from the Neolithic settlement of Kastro, burial artifacts from the Geometric necropolis of ancient Samos, ceramics spanning the 9th to 2nd centuries BC, and an impressive selection of sculptures from the Archaic and Roman periods.

The museun contains the collections: Archaic columns, portraits of Roman emperors, relief funeral banquets, pottery spanning the period between the 9th and the 2nd centuries B.C..

The museum spans two floors, with displays arranged both chronologically and thematically. Visitors can explore history through modern exhibits, informative explanations, and engaging video presentations.
