Samos Airport
Samos Airport is located near Pythagorio, and are daily air links with Athens and weekly with Thessaloniki. During the tourist period, there are charter flights from various European countries.

Ports
Vathy and Karlovasi are the main ports of Samos. The coastal link with Samos, Cyclades and Piraeus is daily while there is a link with the islands of the South Aegean Sea and the Dodecanese.
Samos also connects daily with Kousandasi of Turkey almost the whole year.

Banks & ATMS
Samos Town and Karlovasi is full of branches of nearly all Greek banks. Surrounding towns, villages and settlements also have bank branches according to their population and size but most surely you will find in almost every town and settlement an ATM.
Money Exchage
Banks exchange all major currencies, traveller’s cheques or Euro cheques; the commission is always lower for cash. Post offices exchange cash, but not traveller’s cheques, and usually charge lower commissions than banks. Travel agencies and larger hotels exchange cash and traveller’s cheques but usually charge a higher commission. Banknote exchange machines can be found in most tourist areas.
Post Office
The Greek post office is called ELTA. Post Boxes in Greece are YELLOW for a normal post, usually with 2 slots for INTERNAL POST (meaning inside Greece) and post for ABROAD.
RED Post Boxes are rarer and they are used for URGENT mail.
Boxes can be found in various spots of the town but in order to send your letter more quickly mind to use the main post office’s box.
