Votsalakia or Kampos Marathokampou Beach
Votsalakia Beach, also known as Kampos Marathokampou Beach, is one of the most famous and longest beaches on the southwest coast of Samos.
It lies beneath the impressive Mount Kerkis, creating a beautiful landscape where mountains meet the sea.
The beach stretches for nearly 1.86 km, so there is plenty of space even during the busy summer months.
For this reason, visitors can easily choose between organized areas with beach bars and quieter sections for relaxation.
The eastern part of the beach has more sand mixed with small pebbles, while the western side is mainly pebbly. Both are organized with sunbeds and umbrellas.
Because of the beach’s size, it rarely feels crowded. Many visitors enjoy the lively atmosphere near cafés and tavernas. However, if you walk a little further, you will find calmer spots where you can enjoy the sea almost privately.
